RNC Ad: Obama = Jimmy Carter

Now if only the RNC would get it together and tell us their proactive and positive plans to win in November.

The Pro-Abortionists Make It Official With Their Endorsement Of Obama

You knew it had to come sooner or later, as the Obama is given the official endorsement from the people who hold the golden chalice of Liberalism’s #1 issue

I am pleased to announce that today, NARAL Pro-Choice America’s political action committee endorsed Sen. Barack Obama for president.

I know that most of you are probably thinking, “Why did you decide to endorse Obama, and why are you doing it now?”

Not really. I sure as hell didn’t think she would endorse a Republican.

Sen. Obama has been a strong advocate for a woman’s right to choose throughout his career in public service. Since joining the Senate in 2005, he has worked to unite Americans on both sides of this debate behind commonsense, common-ground ways to prevent unintended pregnancy. He supports legislation to provide our teens with comprehensive sex education, prevent pharmacies from denying women access to their legal birth-control prescriptions, and increase access for family-planning services.

Sen. Obama has said, “A woman’s ability to decide how many children to have and when, without interference from the government, is one of the most fundamental rights we possess. It is not just an issue of choice, but equality and opportunity for all women.”

Can you figure out which word is missing from the whole article by Nancy Keenan, current president of the National Abortion Rights Action League and former president of the mega extreme left group People For The America Way (yea, right. Ever notice that they name these far left groups who want to recreate the Soviet Union “America” something or other?).

Now, let’s take a look at the opposition. Sen. McCain has been getting a free ride for far too long. As even Dan Balz says, until there is a head-to-head, McCain will continue on as the media-maverick darling. We must show voters how extreme McCain really is and contrast his record with that of Sen. Obama, the candidate for the pro-choice majority.

Gotta love it. Extreme to theme means someone who isn’t a baby killer.

Sen. Obama is the leader who can unify Americans on both sides of our issue. He has reached new generations and energized young voters, independent voters, and Republican voters. He’s the candidate of the future, and today we are proud to put the power of NARAL Pro-Choice America’s one million strong members, activists and supporters behind Sen. Barack Obama.

Exactly how is Obama going to unify with Americans who believe that killing babies is wrong? Reality based community my ass! These people really are deluded.

Senator McCain Gets A Conservative Rating Of 80 From ACU

The American Conservative Union has released it’s 2007 ratings (via Hot Air)

The American Conservative Union (ACU) the nation’s oldest and largest grassroots conservative lobbying organization, has released its 2007 “Rating of Congress.” ACU has rated every member of the House and Senate since 1971 and the ratings are widely regarded as the definitive conservative assessment of the federal legislative branch.

ACU Chairman David A. Keene said it is not surprising that the 2006 election has resulted in Congress taking a sharp leftward turn.

“Elections have consequences and the election of 2006 was no exception,” Keene said. “The overall average score of the House of Representatives fell from 53.1 percent conservative in 2006 to 42.91 percent in 2007 while in the Senate the average score in 2007 was 42.67 percent conservative compared to 49.5 percent in 2006.”

Senator McCain recieved an 80, giving him a lifetime rating of 82.16. Obamessiah? A seven. 21 Democrats in the Senate received a zero, to go along with a huge list of Democrats in the House.

Ed at Hot Air writes

For those who see no difference between McCain and the two Democrats, this serves as a reminder that while McCain drifts to the middle on some issues, a large chasm exists between the nominees that will face off in November.

Some may say that McCain is not conservative enough, however, he is conservative in the core principles, and, let’s face it, in today’s “what is the government going to do for me?” society, it would be tough to get someone elected who isn’t willing to do what is best for the country as a whole.

For me locally, Dole received a 96 and Burr received a 92, which is interesting, since both of them have had their names thrown around as VP picks.

My House rep, Brad Miller, got a perfect zero.

One thing that sticks out is comparing the 2007 ratings for Democrats to their lifetime ratings. For quite a few, their is a downward trend, which shows how far to the Left the Democrats have moved.

Palestinians Campaigning For Obama

If Billy Jeff was the first Black president, will Obama be the first Islamist?

(National Review Online) Phil Klein calls our attention to an al-Jazeera news report that sounds like a parody, but is genuine: A report on Palestinians in Gaza who are phonebanking in support of Barack Obama’s campaign.

Let’s watch

As Van Helsing points out, The same folks who passed out candy in celebration on 9/11 are running phone banks in support of their hero Obama.

When Democrats Lie, Go Racist, And Get Stupid

Right Of Mississippi catches the DCCC playing the race card, and the folks who keep telling us the Left is smarter then everyone else get it wrong

dccc racist

Southaven Mayor Greg Davis said Thursday he would be willing to display the Jefferson Davis statue, which is in Downtown Memphis, near City Hall at the end of Northwest Drive.

Horn Lake Mayor Nat Baker also said he would take the statues of Davis and of Confederate Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest “in a heartbeat, even if we’d have to find some privately owned land to put them on.”

As ROM points out, it was Forrest who was one of the founders of the KKK, not Davis. Forrest was the first Imperial Wizard, though he always denied it. And let’s not forget, folks, that the KKK was pushing Democrat Party ideals. I usually do not quote Wikipedia, but “In effect, the Klan defended the interest of the planter class and Democratic Party by working to curb the education, economic advancement, voting rights, and right to keep and bear arms of blacks. The Ku Klux Klan soon spread into nearly every southern state, launching a “reign of terror” against Republican leaders both black and white.”

Imagine if the GOP had done this. Imagine the uproar from the Credentialed Media and the Democrats.

Cassy Fiano at Wizbang sums up the Democrat position: There’s a margin of error for this congressional seat to eliminate. Besides, liberals can stoop as low as they want.

Conservative Bell: And I’d just bet the DCCC doesn’t put out such fliers criticizing Congressman Gene Taylor (D-MS), whose congressional district contains Beauvoir, Jefferson Davis’ retirement home and presidential library. Maybe that’s because Rep. Taylor actually received federal funding for this museum. Oh, I do believe I smell some hypocrisy stinking up this election.

Michelle Malkin: The DCCC, naturally, stands by its slime.

To sum it all up, Mississippi First Congressional District Blog: But in reality, the statue was of Jefferson Davis who was not the founder and never in the KKK. In fact, another place that has a statue of Jefferson Davis is the United States Capitol Building. Jefferson Davis is one of the two statues representing Mississippi, along with James Z. George. Furthermore, Senator Thad Cochran uses the desk of Jefferson Davis in the Capitol, one of two “heritage desks” (the other goes to Massachusetts Senior Senator and belonged to Daniel Webster).

I Thought It Was Republicans Who Were Racists?

Let’s take a look see, shall we, at racism on demand

(Washington Post) Danielle Ross was alone in an empty room at the Obama campaign headquarters in Kokomo, Ind., a cellphone in one hand, a voter call list in the other. She was stretched out on the carpeted floor wearing laceless sky-blue Converses, stories from the trail on her mind. It was the day before Indiana’s primary, and she had just been chased by dogs while canvassing in a Kokomo suburb. But that was not the worst thing to occur since she postponed her sophomore year at Middle Tennessee State University, in part to hopscotch America stumping for Barack Obama.

Here’s the worst: In Muncie, a factory town in the east-central part of Indiana, Ross and her cohorts were soliciting support for Obama at malls, on street corners and in a Wal-Mart parking lot, and they ran into “a horrible response,” as Ross put it, a level of anti-black sentiment that none of them had anticipated.

“The first person I encountered was like, ‘I’ll never vote for a black person,’ ” recalled Ross, who is white and just turned 20. “People just weren’t receptive.”

For all the hope and excitement Obama’s candidacy is generating, some of his field workers, phone-bank volunteers and campaign surrogates are encountering a raw racism and hostility that have gone largely unnoticed — and unreported — this election season. Doors have been slammed in their faces. They’ve been called racially derogatory names (including the white volunteers). And they’ve endured malicious rants and ugly stereotyping from people who can’t fathom that the senator from Illinois could become the first African American president.

Victoria Switzer, a retired social studies teacher, was on phone-bank duty one night during the Pennsylvania primary campaign. One night was all she could take: “It wasn’t pretty.” She made 60 calls to prospective voters in Susquehanna County, her home county, which is 98 percent white. The responses were dispiriting. One caller, Switzer remembers, said he couldn’t possibly vote for Obama and concluded: “Hang that darky from a tree!”

But, what a moment. Let’s look at something Ed Morrissey wrote

Who were these volunteers contacting? Fellow Democrats. They wanted to mobilize the registered Democrats to get them to vote in the closed primary, and received very ugly responses for their trouble.

Woops!

Documentary filmmaker Rory Kennedy, the daughter of the late Robert F. Kennedy, said she, too, came across “a lot of racism” when campaigning for Obama in Pennsylvania. One Pittsburgh union organizer told her he would not vote for Obama because he is black, and a white voter, she said, offered this frank reason for not backing Obama: “White people look out for white people, and black people look out for black people.”

Barack NMN Obama has a long history of looking out for Black people, particularly when he was in Illinois politics, and has only recently really tried to look out for white people, now that he wants to be the Big Kahuna.

Meanwhile, Bluto at The Jawa Report has more, featuring Curious George, who looks to be white.

Rich Lowry points out

If Barack Obama gets his way, the Oxford English Dictionary will have updated its definition of “distraction” by the end of the campaign: “Diversion of the mind, attention, etc., from any object or course that tends to advance the political interests of Barack Obama.”

and

We could take Obama’s rules in good faith if he never calls John McCain a “conservative” or labels him in any other way. If he never criticizes him for his association with George Bush. If he doesn’t jump on his gaffes (like McCain’s 100-years-in-Iraq comment that Obama distorted and harped on for weeks). And if he never says anything that would tend to make Americans fearful about the future or divide them (i.e., say things that some people agree with and others don’t).

This is, of course, an impossible standard. Obama doesn’t expect anyone to live up to it except John McCain.

See a ton more at Memeorandum.

20% Of Democrats Say They Will Vote For McCain

Here’s a story you are not going to see in the liberal Credentialed Media. They are too busy telling us that this one Republican and that one Republican is now a Democrat and wants to have Barack’s baby. You know, the same standard story, with a different candidate’s name, that we see every election cycle

A string of polls conducted by the Suffolk University Political Research Center over the past month–in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana and, now, West Virginia–show that roughly 20 percent of Democratic primary voters are ready to vote for Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) in November if their choice candidate isn’t the nominee. (snip)

The poll shows that almost a quarter of Democratic voters in the state (23 percent) say they will vote for Republican nominee McCain in November if their candidate loses the nomination battle. (See Poll ). Only 40 percent now say they will vote for the Democratic Party’s eventual nominee no matter what happens in the primaries, while nearly a third said they would be undecided. Six percent say they will support independent candidate Ralph Nader.

Again, it is a long time till the general election, but this is a trend that has continued for several months now. It is also interesting to see that Democrats will defect because their candidate did not win, i.e. feelings, while Republicans will supposedly defect because they do not agree with McCain on policy. So far, I haven’t seen a poll about the latter.
