8 Stages Alert: This Time Blaming Hillary, Though

On the 8 Stages list, a #4 is “Blame Conservatives for bringing the truth to light. How dare they do dat!!!!” Who thought that the “conservative” in question would be Hillary?

Since January, the Clintons have pummeled Barack Obama with racially tinged comments and questions about his character.

Hillary Clinton has questioned why he didn’t walk out on the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr.; why he “denounced” but didn’t “reject” Louis Farrakhan; and whether he is too chummy with the former radical Bill Ayers. She chastised his characterization of white working-class voters as being highfalutin and chided him for not agreeing to a street-fight-style debate.

Bill Clinton has called Obama’s stance on the war a fairy tale, dismissed an early primary win as mere Jesse Jackson redux and recently claimed that Obama was playing the race card against him. Some of this is valid, the result of Obama’s own missteps, but some of it is baffling.

The rhetoric appears to be trafficking in old fears and historic stereotypes. The unspoken (and confusing) characterization of Obama is that he’s militant yet cowardly; uppity yet too cool for school.

The NY Times writes all that to tell us that Democrats have not soured on the Messiah, at least from Whites. His Black support is degrading, but, apparently all those white Democrats are letting their guilt show, and are moving to Obama. Whites increased by a whopping 5%! That’s it, call the General election for Barack NMN Obama, get him his sceptre and crown.

Oh, Black support declined 36%.

Understand, I’m not rooting for Hillary - except in terms of keeping the primary chaos going - I want Obama to be the candidate, much easier, and amusing, for McCain to defeat. I just find it interesting that the Times is attacking Hillary, and Bill, like they do Conservatives.

Hillary Exposed: The Case of Paul v. Clinton

Peter Paul
Peter Paul

Peter Paul is a dot com millionaire among a number of other things who has been embroiled in a civil lawsuit against former President Bill Clinton for years. He has had one delay after the other in his law suit in which he accuses the former President of defrauding him into helping Hillary Clinton obtain more than $1.2 million for her 2000 Senate campaign. He was her largest contributer at the time. When it was exposed that he was a convicted felon, Hillary Clinton claimed she didn’t know him.

The case was heard last Friday, April 25th, in the chambers of Judge Aurelio Munoz in Los Angeles Superior Court. The green light has been given to begin discovery and depositions in the case of Paul v Clinton, but Hillary will not be required to testify in sworn deposition until after the November elections.

Peter Paul created a video of his case against the Clintons entitled “Hillary Exposed: The Case of Paul v. Clinton”. The trailer for the video is included below in two parts.

Democratic Delegate Count

The news says that Hillary Clinton was the big winner in yesterday’s Pennsylvania Democratic Primary. I don’t see it quite that way. But isn’t it interesting!

Hillary Clinton Celebrates

As we all know, the real winner in all of this is our man, John McCain! Actually, the REAL winners are the American people. We here at McCain Blogs are eating out popcorn and watching the action. (That is coming from US, not from the McCain campaign - just want to be clear about that! We don’t have to be as politically correct as the official campaign has to be) We are not gloating, we are just interested.

Hillary took at 10 point lead for a victory in the Pennsylvania Democratic Primary last night. Her win looked like this:

Hillary Clinton: 1,258,245 54.69% 66 Delegates
Barack Obama: 1,042,297 45.31% 57 Delegates

The democrats do not have a winner-take-all system. Their delegates are allocated on a percentage basis. As with so many of the methods they use in their election process and in the way they run government, it is convoluted, heavily slanted to give their ‘authorities’ as much power as possible and confusing. So even with her win last night, Hillary only picked up a 9 delegate lead over Obama. That’s enough to give her a boost and a reason to stay in the fight, its not enough to give her anything like a real win. The overall delegate count is still pretty much neck-n-neck.

After the Pennsylvania Primary the Democratic delegate count totals are (via Right Pundit):

The Delegate totals are:

Pledged Delegates 1479 - 1328 Obama + 151 Popular Vote 49.2 - 47.5 Obama +1.7
Popular Vote (w/FL) 48.3 - 47.6 Obama +0.7

This is obviously going to the convention. I have visions of Harold Dean sitting in his den with his head in his little hands just not knowing WHAT to do. I imagine that the city council in Denver is preparing for the worst. They are probably having disaster drills even as I type this. The democrats seem determined to grab defeat from the jaws of victory.

Meanwhile, my friends, lets sit back and enjoy the show ….

Hillary Announces Her Global Warming Plan

And just in time for Earth Day, she has figured out the way to get global cooling!

Clinton further displayed tough talk in an interview airing on “Good Morning America” Tuesday. ABC News’ Chris Cuomo asked Clinton what she would do if Iran attacked Israel with nuclear weapons.

“I want the Iranians to know that if I’m the president, we will attack Iran,” Clinton said. “In the next 10 years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them.”

Good for her. Nothing like nuclear winter to solve anthropogenic global warming.

Beer Monday Linkfest: Obama Takes Money From Lobbyists

Monday. The start of a new work week, time to get busy, shift a few paradigms, revolutionize outside the box. How ’bout a beer?

You’re saying, that wasn’t a beer commercial. Correct. But it was written by someone who was either sh*tfaced, or by people who think you are drunk because you are “bitter.” Back in 2007, FactCheck.org wrote that this was “hair-splitting” by Obama. And they mentioned it back on March 31, 3008.

Newsday mentioned that Obama took money from Greenberg Traurig, the lobbyist firm Jack Abramoff worked for. And USA Today notes that he took money from individuals working for lobbying companies, and has many recently former lobbyists on staff, which is where the “hair splitting” comes in. More hair splitting would be the massive amounts of money that Obama received through MoveOn, which also happens to be a registered 527 and also a PAC. For more on that, go here and here.

In other words, Obama is playing games. And notice that the above ad is an attack against Hillary, and does not defend against what Hillary’s says.

It may seem as if I am defending Hillary. I suppose, in an offhand way. Mostly what I am doing is highlighting Obama’s BS, since, unless he has at least one or two big meltdowns between now and the Dem convention, he will be their nominee for the Jackass Party, and I want McCain to win.

BTW, another cute “Obama Girl” type video that smacks him around on this same issue.

McCain winning back Reagan Democrats, too

Jumping off the earlier post about McCain winning back unhappy Republicans, it seems he really is winning back some Reagan Democrats as well. (Just as I said he would, nyah nyah!)

Check this out.

Now, I’m not counting those votes until the election actually happens, but unless Hillary has an extremely well-trained bunch of supporters who are issuing idle threats, this is definitely good news. Stash that video in your dossier for the general election, y’all.

Meanwhile, SurveyUSA has a fresh set of general election polls up today.

It’s Still 3am: Who Ya Gonna Call?

Mark Steyn, regarding the latest Hillary 3am ad

Jeepers, will all business during the Clinton Administration be transacted at 3 AM? Is it some union-negotiated flex-time deal? “Home foreclosures mounting”? We’d better wake the President. There are now so many foreclosures the banks can no longer foreclose on everyone they need to foreclose on during normal banking hours. “The First National Bank of Dead Skunk, Maine has begun issuing midnight foreclosure notices, Madam President.”

“Okay, nuke ‘em.”

“Er, well, maybe this can wait till the regular afternoon meeting.”

It’s 3 AM, and your children are safe and asleep. But there’s a phone ringing in the White House. And ringing and ringing and ringing. Kim Jong-Il’s No Dong missiles are heading for every major West Coast city, but the President’s not picking up because at 2.57 AM the Secretary for Soccer Moms called to alert her to the growing crisis caused by the lack of federally mandated children’s bicycle helmets. When the powder keg goes up, who do you want in the White House? Hillary Rodham Clinton, whose customized MCI Friends & Family & European Foreign Ministers & Overseas Dictators plan allows her to receive unlimited incoming calls between 2 AM and 4 AM? Or John McCain, who’d bawl out the White House operator for waking him up to take a call from the Director of the Federal Bike Path Agency?

Hillary’s 3am ads are the gift that keeps giving, much like every time Howard Dean opens his mouth.

Jon Henke has been carefully reading what the Democrats have been pushing to the press–here are just a few juicy bits:

Barack Obama is running as the sort of Uniter-Not-Divider politician who can bring us all together in rapturous harmony. But he keeps finding himself having to explain his choice in spiritual advisors and campaign committee members. The most recent story points out Obama’s “connection to another racially divisive public figure—the stridently homophobic Rev. James T. Meeks,” who was named by the Southern Poverty Law Center as one of the “10 leading black religious voices in the anti-gay movement.” Incidentally, James Meeks was also behind the Halloween “hell house” which “housed a few denizens of “hell,” including a pedophile trolling the Internet for a young victim, a meditating Buddhist, and two mincing young men wearing body glitter who were supposed to be homosexuals.” Considering how the Progressives reacted to Obama’s association with Donnie McClurkin, I would imagine this won’t make people happy.

Hey, let’s be fair and balanced!

Hillary Clinton is running on her experience. But it turns out she might not be quite so eager to discuss some of that experience, such as the meeting she had with a fellow who was apparently, illegally lobbying for Saddam Hussein, and who says Hillary Clinton “passed a message to the State Department” about the need to implement the oil-for-food deal…”

Hillary And Subprimes

‘Memba a few days ago, the Left was all up in arms about “McCain guru linked to subprime crisis?” All the usual players on the Left were linking that article. I wonder what they will do with this one?

Hillary Clinton spends considerable time on the campaign trail bemoaning unscrupulous lenders who have left millions of Americans scrambling to keep their homes but all the while her campaign manager, Margaret “Maggie” Williams, has sat on the board of one of the nation’s once-largest and now-bankrupt sub-prime mortgage lenders.

Clinton Communications Director Howard Wolfson told FOXNews.com late Sunday that Williams, a longtime Clinton ally, didn’t join Clinton’s Democratic presidential campaign as a volunteer until after Delta Financial Corporation — for which Williams is a director — went bankrupt in December 2007.

Well well well, that is very interesting. About as interesting as Clinton and Obama taking over a million dollars in campaign donations from subprime lenders.

Senator McCain has stated: “It is not the duty of government to bail out and reward those who act irresponsibly, whether they are big banks or small borrowers.” For taking a position that empowers adult Americans to be responsible for their own actions, Obama and Clinton assaulted him. Their idea is to pump millions and millions into rescuing people who made bad deals, did not read the contracts, and failed to hold up their end of the agreement. Do I feel bad for these people? Sure. I bet McCain does, too. But, it is not my responsibility to give them my money to help them out of a problem they made, and it is certainly not the governments.
