Something Else Muslims Do Not Like: Barry Obama

Sunday afternoon humor: Why Arab/Muslim Americans should not vote for Obama (page doesn’t work in Firefox, IE only)

Arab and Muslim voters thought, in Obama that they were witnessing a candidate with a shot of wining, that he was not part of the pro-Israeli establishment that fills the halls of power in Washington who usually go out of their way, sometimes slavishly, to support Israel at expense of Arab and Palestinian rights.

But Arab and Muslims voters did not have wait for too long for their disappointment to arrive when they felt that Obama had increasingly started treating them like a plague avoiding them at all costs so as not to upset the racists and bigots in this country.

In Detroit, last June, Obama’s staff made sure to remove two Muslim American women from the seats behind Obama so as not to “ offend” American voters, as if Muslims voters are not “fully” Americans.

This insult to Muslims is too deep to let it go so easily, it also speaks volumes about the hatred and racism in the American society where Arab and Muslim Americans are usually at the receiving end of its repeated blows, and with no end in sight.

Gee, just because a good chunk of the Religion of Peace has declared war on America, and the so called moderates are barely visible, no, no reason to be worried about Muslims here in America.

Looks like Barry’s voter blocks are slimming down, eh? He can’t really count on the Hillary voters, he can’t count on the youth vote, he can’t count on Obama Girl showing up, he can’t count on the senior citizen vote, and, now, he can’t count on the Jihadi block vote.

What The Palin Pick Means

All sorts of analysis has been made of the pick of Sarah Palin. The Politico gets close with their 6 things the Palin pick says about McCain. But, really, everything is secondary to one simple concept: McCain understood that the base would be ignited, would be thrilled, would be pumped up, excited, engrossed, and fired up about a pick of a good Conservative like Palin.

In my 4 years of blogging, and all my years following the Presidential elections, I have never seen the base so excited. Sure, they were pumped to go vote in 2004, but, how much of that was because they liked Bush and wanted to see Waffles Kerry defeated? Most of us barely approved of Bush’s policies, beyond a few basic ones.

McCain? Well, he seems a nice chap, willing to fight back. He’s for low taxes COUPLED with reduced spending. He’s strong on defense. He’s sorta OK on energy. He detests pork. He does what he thinks is right, not necessarily what it is politically expedient. He thinks we should have border security, but, that is somewhat offset by his stance on illegal immigration. Sometimes he gets a little too cozy with Democrats, but, he typically has the best interest of the country, not the Party, in mind. He has a lifetime Conservative rating of 82.3. He is pro-life.

Is he the best Conservative out there? No. His record puts him on the low end of Conservatives. He fits the bill well for me, as my main concerns are national security, low taxes, reduced spending, limited government, ethical government, States Rights, and, over the past 7 years, illegal immigration. So, he fits the bill.

Palin, though, oh, Palin (how does one make heart icons?)……she fits all the measures that todays conservatives are looking for, plus, she is young, dynamic, attractive, and, real. She is a real person, not a staged politician. A person who fits Real Life. The only thing we do not know about her is her stance on illegal immigration, which wasn’t much of a deal in Alaska, except for the moose wandering over from Canada. Staunchly pro-life. A mother who cares about her kids. For low taxes. Doesn’t let people push her around. She’s not part of a “group,” but, her own person. Massively pro-2nd Amendment.

She is a real reformer, and not afraid to take people on, even in her own party. Good for her. 5 kids, a real working husband who she calls the “First Dude.” And she brings mega-excitement. If you are a conservative, and you weren’t excited like Ralphie on Christmas morning, we need to check your blood pressure and make sure someone hasn’t been slipping you Prozac. And, how can you not get excited by this?

NY Times Loves Sarah Palin

Woah! This was highly unexpected, but, perhaps the folks at the Grey Lady decided that their support of feminism and equal rights was more important than electing Democrats. Sarah Heath Palin, an Outsider Who Charms

Her father shot the grizzly bear whose hide is now draped over the sofa in her office. She, too, hunts and fishes. She runs marathons. She delivered her fifth child during her first term as governor. They call her husband, the reigning champion in the annual Iron Dog snowmachine race, First Dude.

Sarah Palin, Senator John McCain’s surprising selection to be his vice-presidential running mate, took Alaska by surprise, too, not long ago. Though indisputably Alaskan, she rose to prominence by bucking the state’s rigid Republican hierarchy, impressing voters more with gumption, warmth and charm than an established record in government.

It was a combination that dumbfounded her rivals.

“She wouldn’t have articulated one coherent policy and people would just be fawning all over her,” said Andrew Halcro, a Republican turned independent, who along with Tony Knowles, a Democrat, ran against Ms. Palin for governor in 2006. “Tony and I looked at each other and it was, like, this isn’t about policy or Alaska issues, this is about people’s most basic instincts: ‘I like you, and you make me feel good.’ ”

I feel no need to comment. Go read the whole thing before someone like Pinch has the article yanked from the web.

McCain’s VP Pick: It Could Be Sarah Palin

Kicking this to the top, because the talking heads are really focusing on Palin, and saying it is going to be her

Fox News says they got official confirmation of the pick. Could someone tell Carl Cameron at Fox that her name is Sarah, not Susan, please?

Wow, just think about this. The day after The Speech, McCain will be completely stealing Barry’s thunder over Labor Day Weekend, with the second ever pick of a woman on the ticket.

Won’t this look great? (via Michelle M)

Barry chose a massive Washington insider, Maverick picks someone who couldn’t be farther from Washington. Who’s changing now, Barry?

Interestingly, there is a reprint of an op-ed at the official John McCain for President site, John McCain is The Right Choice for Women. Serendipidy?

Also, parts of his site are hosed, looks like they are about to change part of the top part!

All the talking heads are saying that Sarah Palin has jumped up into the mix. Oh please oh please let it be Sarah.

And if it is, it will be truly humorous if the Dems say “y’all neocons have been complaining that Barack The Chosen One is too inexperienced, and now McCain picks Palin. See!”

Of course, Palin would be the VP pick, there to help and learn, not the person running for POTUS, who has to pick a guy who said that Barry was not qualified to be president to get some experience on the ticket. And she has still done more then Barack during her short time in office. Check out the Wikipedia entry. It is a pretty good one, and she has a pretty good story herself, which does not include consistently hanging around racists, unrepentant terrorists, and die-hard Marxists.

Sarah Palin is John McCain’s Vice Presidential Pick!

There’s a ton of speculation today that Sarah Palin has been picked as McCain’s running mate. Read about it below and see photos and a video of Palin below.

We will know who John McCain has picked as his running mate around noon today. But the speculation has been heavy that it is Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin. This would be a bold choice, but then McCain is a bold man.

The reason for the speculation is that Palin has been on McCain’s short list all along. A private plane was dispatched to Alaska last night. It left Anchorage, Alaska and landed in Dayton, Ohio. A woman was seen disembarking the plane with two men, one a teenage boy. As everyone know, Palin has a teenage son.

We also know that other probably VEEP picks have been eliminated. Most notably, both Tim Pawlenty, Mitt Romney and Joe Lieberman all of whom have been alternatively speculated to be the vice presidential picks over the last few days.

Sarah Palin is definitely not a Washington insider, she has a 90% approval rating in her home state of Alaska, she ran on cleaning up corruption. She has solid conservative credentials, has executive experience as the Governor of Alaska. She has five children, her youngest just born five months ago. She is a strong supporter of our Troops.

We’ll find out who will be our next Vice President shortly. Frankly, I’m really excited at the possibility of it being Sarah Palin!

Barry’s Speech: The Change You Never Heard

If you watched it, you heard the word. But, not so much what it meant. Charles Babington of the AP (who Keith Olbermann tore into during a normal rant)

Barack Obama, whose campaign theme is “change we can believe in,” promised Thursday to “spell out exactly what that change would mean.”

But instead of dwelling on specifics, he laced the crowning speech of his long campaign with the type of rhetorical flourishes that Republicans mock and the attacks on John McCain that Democrats cheer. The country saw a candidate confident in his existing campaign formula: tie McCain tightly to President Bush, and remind voters why they are unhappy with the incumbent.

Same ole Mr. Empty Suit.

Some of his comments about McCain were unusually sharp. “I’ve got news for you, John McCain,” Obama said, defying anyone to challenge his patriotism. “We all put our country first.”

Perhaps he should have checked the garbage from the DNC first.

Allies such as Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano will doubtlessly defend his approach. A few hours before the speech, she said: “What he should not do is what he will be criticized for not doing: Give a detailed policy speech. This is not the place for that.”

True. But, since his campaign has pretty much been devoid of more then soundbites of policy, it would have been nice to hear (in my case, read the speech) something a bit more. But, hey, good news, Barry did say we all suck

“America, we are better than these last eight years,” he said. “We are a better country than this.”

The typical Liberal line that America is just not a good place. But, it could be fixed if we just raised taxes and let the government spend and give more money to people who did not earn it. Unless couch sitting is now a job in Liberal World. Plus, don’t forget abortions. If we could just extend the ability out to the 2nd year of life, everything would be fine.

McCain To Release Major Exciting Ad Tonight

Personally, I seriously doubt McCain will announce his VP pick this Thursday. It would be classless, and, I think he and his folks know that. But, this should be interesting. An ad released while The Messiah rises on his platform like Zeus or Addonis, to preach from the backdrop of Mt. Olympis.

Via The Politico, who caught this during Morning Joe (along with 30 other people)

MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Apparently the McCain campaign has an ad rolling out tonight. What’s it about?

JILL HAZELBAKER: Well, Mika, this is a historic ad. I think this is the first of its kind. Senator McCain is going to speak direct to camera to Barack Obama. I’m not going to give away many more details than that. But suffice to say it’s going to be a very exciting ad, and I think it’s going to get a lot of attention

BRZEZINSKI: Jill, you’ve got to give us more on this ad. He’s speaking directly to camera, John McCain is to Barack Obama. If you say there’s news here, what’s the news?

HAZELBAKER: Well, I’m going to keep a lid on it. But I think it’s newsworthy to note that Senator McCain is going to have an ad that’s going to air in battleground states around the time that Senator Obama is speaking tonight. And he’s going to be talking directly to his opponent. So, I’m going to leave it there, but it’s going be very exciting and a lot of people are going to focus on it.

Should be interesting! Of course, we all know that Barry and The Nutroots will require a waaaah-mbulance!

Meanwhile, Remote Control

John McCain Has Picked His Running Mate

John McCain has picked his running mate and we here at McCain Blogs are anxious to find out just who it will be. Read more below.

John McCain

The top picks at this point are Sarah Palin (my personal favorite), Carly Fiorina, Mitt Romney and Tim Pawlenty. Here are bios of Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney’s wife, Ann Romney and Tim Pawlenty’s wife Mary Pawlenty.

Other potential vice-presidential candidates have taken themselves out of the running. Kay Bailey Hutchinson has stated she’s not been asked and doesn’t want the job. Bobby Jindal took himself out of the running a while back stating he wants to keep the job he has.

The names of Joe Lieberman and Tom Ridge have both been floated out, but both are thought to have issues that wouldn’t go over well with the conservative base. They are not likely picks.

Of course, there’s always the chance that our favorite maverick could do something totally unexpected and pick someone no one sees coming. I almost hope he does. He does have the freedom at this point to pick a bit of a risky running mate.

There have been rumors that Romney has been assigned a secret service detail - but that’s just a rumor. Pawlenty has canceled appointments for today and tomorrow. So anticipation is growing.

McCain will make his announcement in Ohio tomorrow (if it doesn’t leak out just in time to compete for news coverage with the Obama speech). Several of the potential picks are now making their way, with their families, to Ohio.

We’re keeping an eye on it and will let you know just as soon as we know.

We Know Where The Obama’s Stand On Illegal Aliens

Typically, we know that Barry speaks in generalities, skirts the issues, provides little of substantive policy. Good thing Michelle Obama is there to tell us what he really thinks and wants to do, eh?

Hispanics should not have to live in fear of raids by immigration agents, Michelle Obama told a Hispanic caucus to the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday.

Her husband, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, wants to reform immigration policies and provide illegal immigrants a path to citizenship, she said.

“We would have an immigration policy that brings 12 million people out of the shadows,” she told cheering caucus members who shouted “Yes we can” in Spanish.

Now we know. Rather then apply The Law, a President Obama would offer up to people who started their time in America by breaking federal criminal law a free pass to being citizens. You came illegally? You are stealing American jobs and illegally stealing American identities, harming peoples credit and their lives? Here’s a free pass. Vote Democrat.

Polls on the subject are rarely taken, but, most find that a majority of Americans are concerned about people coming here illegally, that they do not want them getting free government services, and that they should NOT be given a free pass to citizenship. I won’t say that Barack is completely wrong on some of his minor draft of an immigration policy points, but, we only have to listen to his wife to know that he prefers total amnesty.

Perhaps if the illegals made the attempt to learn English and did not seclude themselves off, not to mention the violence against Americans, people would feel different.

And, yes, Reagan did allow something similar, but for much fewer people, which was a mistake.

McCain says he has learned his lesson. He needs to prove it, though. His plan is more detailed, includes enforcement first, nails companies that hire illegals, then gets a little wishy washy on a path to citizenship. He does seem to want illegals to leave and then apply for citizenship like everyone else has to, though.
