McCain Calls Out Obama On Poor People

Barack NMN Obama probably just thinks they are all bitter white trash

Republican presidential candidate John McCain on Sunday called Democratic rival Barack Obama insensitive to poor people and out of touch on economic issues

The GOP nominee-in-waiting rapped his Democratic rival for opposing his idea to suspend the tax on fuel during the summer, a proposal that McCain believes will particularly help low-income people who usually have older cars that guzzle more gas.

“I noticed again today that Sen. Obama repeated his opposition to giving low-income Americans a tax break, a little bit of relief so they can travel a little further and a little longer, and maybe have a little bit of money left over to enjoy some other things in their lives,” McCain said. “Obviously Sen. Obama does not understand that this would be a nice thing for Americans, and the special interests should not be dictating this policy.”

Hey, Snob-ama has his. Why should he worry about anyone else?

Beer Monday: Bitter Folks In Pa. Explain Obama

Happy Monday! The start of a new work week, time to get busy, shift a few paradigms, send a few kudos fax blasts. How ’bout a beer?

Via Insty, Obama gets scewered and really needs that beer (Pittsburg Tribune-Review)

This nation has a history of looking closely at its candidates and taking their measure before they vote for them. It is a process that Obama shuns and rival Hillary Clinton thrives on — and therein lies the problem for Democrats.

Exactly. Don’t we want to know who our elected critters are, both personally and politically? Remember Mr. Monkey Business? People got to know him. Or how about Rock Us Dukakis? That didn’t work too well. Reagan came out and let people know him both politically and personally, and, to the best of my recollection, it worked pretty well.

Al Gore let people know that he was not actually a cyborg, and came close to winning. Howard Dean let people know he was a raving psychotic, and, surprisingly, it was the Democrats who gave him the heave ho. Bill Clinton went out and faked it enough to get elected twice. Dubya let people know who he is, and, you either love him or hate him.

Barack NMN Obama doesn’t want people to know who he actually is, because, the more we know, the more we find out that he is not this clean politician of hope and change and change and hope, please give the paramedics a lane to get to that liberal man who passed out, but a person who is elitist, doesn’t like America very much, is quite possibly bigoted towards white people, and is an empty suit policy wise and too thin skinned to be President.

Obama, who leads both in pledged delegates and in the popular vote, cannot close the gap with lunch-pail Democrats, older voters and (for lack of a better term) white people.

Yes, Obama won lunch-pail Democrat votes in caucuses, but remember: Caucus participants, for the most part, are party activists who cling to the farthest-left end of the platform; they are not Middle America.

So why the disconnect with the Democrats’ core constituency?

The appearance is that Obama does not understand them; they are outside the realm of his “change” message. His original “change” agenda did not force him to relate with Middle America in order to win.

That pretty much stands on its own. Though I enjoy the malarkey the Credentialed Media throws around about Republicans becoming Obama voters. I doubt it is happening very much. Except for Exitable Andy. I think he wants to have Obama’s baby.

Wait, Obama HAS Heard Controversial Wright Speeches?

Interesting. Just yesterday, Barack “NMN” Obama saidThe American people were tired of spin and PR, they wanted straight talk and honesty from their elected officials.” Back on 3/14/08, CNN has Obama saying

And, even though he has been a member of Trinity United for the past 20 years, Obama said he had never witnessed Wright making such statements.

“Had I heard those statements in the church, I would have told Reverend Wright that I profoundly disagree with them,” Obama said, adding, “What I have been hearing and had been hearing in church was talk about Jesus and talk about faith and values and serving the poor.”

And today on Fox News

Obama, in an interview broadcast on “Fox News Sunday,” said he’s been on hand for worship services that included “provocative” messages delivered by Wright that have touched on race and issues plaguing the black community.

OK, so he has heard some “provocative” messages. I guess we are getting a little closer to the actual truth.

As a sidebar

Obama expressed regret that the man who married him and his wife Michelle, and the church he’s called home for more than 20 years, have been the subject of close press scrutiny.

“That church family that’s been built there does outstanding work, has been, I think, applauded for it’s outreach to the poor — he (Wright) built that ministry and I think that people need to take a look at the whole church and the whole man in making these assessments.”

So what? Hitler loved his dogs. Mussolini was a big environmentalist when it came to trees. Pol Pot was supposed to have been a very loving, caring, nice young boy. Bull Conner was supposed to be a loving husband. Tookie Williams wrote childrens books. Vlad Tepes loved impaling people. OK, last one is not the best example. And several speeches of hate do not make a person all bad. But, more and more speeches and examples of hate seem to be showing up, and the good things he has done do not exuse the hate, nor do they excuse Obama attending this church of hate for 20 years.

8 Stages Alert: Hills Wants Open Debate, Obama Gives A #6

So, let’s see

Democratic rivals Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton turned up the rhetoric Saturday in their increasingly heated presidential primary battle as she issued a new debate challenge and he complained of a race that has largely been reduced to trivia while working families feel economic pain.

Clinton took the debate dispute to a new level, challenging Obama to face off with her in a debate without a moderator.

“Just the two of us, going for 90 minutes, asking and answering questions, we’ll set whatever rules seem fair,” Clinton said while campaigning in South Bend.

Barack “No Middle Name” Obama decided that a #6 on the 8 Stages Of Liberal/Progressive Discussion When They Are Busted was the order of the day

…Clinton argued that Obama won’t debate because he’s unhappy with questions from TV moderators during the April 16 debate just before the Pennsylvania primary. After that debate, Obama complained it focused too much on political trivia and too little on real issues.

On the campaign trail Saturday, he sounded much the same theme.

“I was convinced that the American people were tired of the politics that’s all about tearing each other down. The American people were tired of spin and PR, they wanted straight talk and honesty from their elected officials,” Obama said at a town hall meeting in the aging industrial city of Anderson.

“If you watched the last few weeks of this campaign, you’d think that all politics is about is negative ads and bickering and arguing, gaffes and sideline issues,” said Obama. “There’s no serious discussion about how to bring jobs back, to Anderson.”

A #6 is Whine about the discussion of the topic, proclaiming that it means nothing, and why aren’t we talking about X? This is usually the point where Liberals/progressives truly understand how bad the issue really is for them, typically when even the NY Times cannot ignore it...., and this is exactly what BHO is doing, which is strange, considering that, up to the time people really started to be aware of what BHO’s character really is, all he wanted to really talk about was hope, change, and his character.

He doesn’t seem to be able to move past #6, either, which is what a politician with experience would be able to do. Not that I am rooting for Hillary, but, does anyone doubt that she would have put those issues behind her by now? Consider how she has moved on from the sniper comments.

He is welcome to start talking about actual issues. Perhaps he could tell us what his plan is to bring jobs back to Anderson, instead of whining that no one wants to talk about it.

Video: McCain On Hamas’ Obama Endorsement

Yesterday, I mentioned John McCain on Hamas endorsing Obama. Here’s some video from CNN on it (in which CNN is spinning like a top trying to defend the Obamessiah)

Bush Does Standup At Correspondent’s Dinner

Found a bit of vid of Dubya at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner, but, it doesn’t include this bit, unless you can get the cBS News one on the page I link below to work. I’ve had no luck

President George W. Bush poked fun at his potential successors, expressing surprise that none of them were in the audience at the White House Correspondents’ Association annual dinner.

“Senator McCain’s not here,” Bush said of Republican nominee-in-waiting John McCain. “He probably wanted to distance himself from me a little bit. You know, he’s not alone. Jenna’s moving out too.”

Bush then referred to scandals that have dogged the campaigns of the two remaining Democratic candidates, Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama, in explaining their absence: “Hillary Clinton couldn’t get in because of sniper fire and Senator Obama’s at church.”

NY Times Now Sees Obama As Liability For Ticket

Ok, ok, the headline is actually “GOP Now Sees Obama As Liability For Ticket,” but, sheesh, how did this possibly make it in to the NY Times? I have a little theory that the editor get drunk big time on Friday nights, so the actual reporters are free to write actual journalistic articles, as I have seen many times regarding good news from Iraq, but, sheesh! this is still the NY Times!

Senator Barack “no middle name” Obama is starring in a growing number of campaign commercials, but the latest batch is being underwritten by Republicans.

In a sign that the racial, class and values issues simmering in the presidential campaign could spread into the larger political arena, Republican groups are turning recent bumps in Mr. Obama’s road — notably his comment that small-town Americans “cling” to guns and religion out of bitterness and a fiery speech by his former minister in which he condemned the United States — into attacks against Democrats down the ticket.

Note: those racial issues are on the Democrat side, not the GOP side. We couldn’t care less about color or race, just, as Martin Luther King, Jr., put it, the content of one’s character, and what their policies are.

“The public, week by week, is becoming more familiar with his big-government, far-left vision for America,” said Ed Patru, a spokesman for <a href="http://topics.nytimes.com/top/reference/timestopics/organizations/f/freedoms_watch/index.html?inline=nyt-org" title="Mo
