How McCain Could Win

Richard Baehr at Real Clear Politics tells us how he feels McCain could win this election:

I believe the key to a McCain victory is to focus his campaign and the voting public on the two candidates themselves - - their life stories, their experiences and accomplishments, their visions for the country, and their characters.  If the election is decided on these factors, McCain should win.

If one looks at life experiences, accomplishments, visions for the country and personal character, John McCain wins hands down.

John McCain

John McCain’s character was honed during his years as a prisoner of war and his subsequent years serving the country as a senator. Through that unique and first-hand experience as a POW he learned clearly how horrible war is. He won’t be eager to get us involved in a war. However, from the bravery he exhibited during his POW experience, it is obvious that he also won’t shy away from war, if necessary. Freedom isn’t free - and sweet talk won’t change that fact. John McCain knows that well. In other words, he has the knowledge, background and experience to make informed and wise decisions for our country.
