Barack Obama’s aunt, a Kenyan woman who has been quietly living in public housing in Boston, is in the United States illegally after an immigration judge rejected her request for asylum four years ago, The Associated Press has learned.
Zeituni Onyango, 56, referred to as “Aunti Zeituni” in Obama’s memoir, was instructed to leave the United States by a U.S. immigration judge who denied her asylum request, a person familiar with the matter told the AP late Friday. This person spoke on condition of anonymity because no one was authorized to discuss Onyango’s case.
Information about the deportation case was disclosed and confirmed by two separate sources, one of them a federal law enforcment official. The information they made available is known to officials in the federal government, but the AP could not establish whether anyone at a political level in the Bush administration or in the McCain campaign had been involved in its release. (WT-they can’t confirm it, but, they will throw the possibility at the wall for the hell of it. Responsible journalism!)
Onyango’s refusal to leave the country would represent an administrative, non-criminal violation of U.S. immigration law, meaning such cases are handled outside the criminal court system. Estimates vary, but many experts believe there are more than 10 million such immigrants in the United States.
What did Barry know and when did he know it? Especially since he has taken campaign donations from her, which, last time I checked, it was still illegal to take campaign donations from foreign citizens. See the 2nd paragraph on page 2 of the Times Of London story. Will Barry return her contribution?
And here we have yet another illegal alien living on the public dole.

I also do not believe that obama knew nothing about his aunties illegal status, hey like my major in my city saids illegal is illegal. Ship her back and obama also wouldn’t hurt also even though he is suppose to be a citizen.

As a native San Diegan who happens to be Latina, I have witness the round up of illegal aliens on a daily bases. I live in the middleclass neighborhood of Rancho Bernardo. Everyday border control come in to my neighborhood and round up all the illegal’ aliens who have come looking for work. They haul them up in to vans, hold them until they put them on a bus to deport them. If the INS knew she was illegal why was she allowed to stay? How did she get low income housing with her illegal status? Auntie gets to stay, but if you are Latino you are detained until you are deported. How many times do you hear about how we have to stop the illegal aliens, but they only really mean the Latinos. Latinos experience on a daily bases the funny looks from people wondering if we are illegal, even though we were born and raised in the U.S.A. Made fun of for taking jobs no one else wanted, knowing our families were counting on us and handouts were not an option. And now after working hard for our American dream we have to bail out the ones that are too lazy to work?
To all the Latinos voting for Obama do you really think he is going to help you? I am Latina and I was always taught two things; family pulls together, and you have to work hard for your money. Wake up all you Latinos who are willing to sell your vote for a campaign promise of free money. We don’t need a hand out, we were taught to be above that. Look at Tito the builder.
If Obama believes in his trickle up economics, I say prove by sponsoring his aunt so she can stay, and then go help his half brother in Kenya, or does he only want us to give up our money?

There are far too many lazy freeloaders on welfare in this country that were born in this country. We don’t need to add more freeloaders from over the pond regardless of their kinship to politicians from here. She should go before she gets a chance to vote for Obama. Afterall,if she can obtain wefare and public housing, she is probably registered through ACORN. Good Luck MR. McCain. God Bless America!!!

to do was fill out a form. But that
form would have made him financially

RLopez: You’d have to live in Massachusetts to understand. We are a microcosm of what is going to happen to the entire country if Obama is elcted with a super majority of Democrats. The system is eating itself up because there’s no checks or balances in government here. We elected an empty suit that’s a smooth talker with no accomplishments who thinks the answer to everything is Government and the answer to all our problems is more taxes and more government programs. We’ve become a “nanny state” that interfers rather than assists.

In my opinion we are missing the point here. She is illegal and she is living off of our tax dollars in a project. He mentions her in book and once again he is not aware of here legal status. So let’s put things in perspective here he goes to church for over 20 years and he is not aware of his pastor’s radical views, he is friends with folks that believe in radical views about America and when it comes out he denies his knowledge of their views. How come this man who is running for the highest office gets away without taking any responsibility for your association. What is wrong with average Americans who has lost the sense of rational thinking.
I am for change but I want a man of integrity that can stand up to his mistakes and accept rather than pulling the “I was not aware card” when exposed.
Shame on Americans if we don’t see this in the craziness of “Change”. Change is needed but with change comes accountability and I don’t see that coming in Obama’s Change. I hope America thinks objectively rather than emotionally when they Vote because their Vote will impact the next 4 to 8 years policies of this Great Nation.

Barrak needs to pay the piper and take responsibility for his actions. He needs to stop avoiding the questions about his past associations. My wife and i both serve our country and i would feel much safer with John McCain leading us than a person who does no research on who he is doing business with, as is the case with Bill Ayers. Barrak has shuned the troops on his trip to Europe by not visiting the wounded troops all because he could not bring his cameras. He is definately not ready to lead.
