McCain needs to play hard-ball with this clever shark. John can hit this guy much harder than he is. Take the Aires issue for example. The focus should not be on Obama’s views on Aires, but what did Aires see in Obama. Next, look at the “affordable” housing mortgage crisis. McCain pushed for more oversight of Fannie/Freddy years ago, while Obama and his ilk cashed in. What about Iraq? The war has been long and hard, but McCain made the right call on the surge while Obama has called for surrender, cut, and run. We can only predict the future based on the past. We know John McCain’s past. A war hero with courage to do the right thing for his country even at extreme personal cost. A dedicated reformer in the Senate willing to work across party lines to get the job done. What about Barak Obama’s past? Does he even have a legitimate US birth certificate? How can you completely disregard the fundamentalist Muslim indoctrination of his youth in Indonesia? How much influence did his Socialist mother have on Obama in his formative years? What did he do at Columbia U.? etc. etc. etc… John McCain is an open book -warts and all. Obama is a smooth talker, but he is not an open book. What we don’t know about Obama will hurt us if he is elected president. There is little unknown about John McCain, and what we know about McCain is what this country needs now.

My Fellow Americans:
As the race to the White House nears the finish line and with the chequered flag now in sight I am reminded of the timeless nursery rhyme and story of the tortis and the hare. It is actually quite uncanny how similar the two stories are.
Me the staunch, experienced veteran, tried and tested, with a decorated record along with the unique perspective of loss. (the tortis) More often than not it is loss or hard times and adversity that makes a true champion, a true leader, because a true champion must rise above the negative emotions, their pride, the heartbreak and return to the same field with more determination, grit and focus. A true champion can acknowledge their mistakes move forward with a greater understanding of how to avoid making similar mistakes in the future.
My esteemed colleague Barack Obama, the young, aggressive, whippersnapper, full of piss & vinegar (or gumption) charismatic and appealing, the proverbial new kid on the block and a very talented young man. (the hare)
My fellow Americans in reality this is not a race. This is not a game. This is not a contest to see who can get there first. This is the most important appointment in the world. You are about to choose the next leader of the most influential country in the world and I have to emphasize the term LEARDER. Barack Obama is a good man with good intentions (pause) You know where good intentions can get you?
to give enough time to insinuate, “the road to hell was paved with good intentions”
and he is a great leader for the Democratic Party. He is just not quite ready yet to be the leader of the United States of America.
We both want to change this country but please understand the differences in our philosophies before you hire your next Commander and Chief.
America is already in peril and almost unrecognizable compared to the once envied country of years past. Barack Obama wants to distort it more and not because he truly wants to harm our great nation but because he just doesn’t understand the consequences of his “proposed change” nor does he understand or know what we need. I DO!
There was a time when this great nation flourished with prosperity and opportunity. We need to return our nation to those good times once again. Many of you will recall when this country was truly powerful and a true world leader, respected and envied. Throughout this era there were real American companies where generations of Americans worked from father to son to grandson. Growing up you knew you would be hired at the plant where your father or uncle worked if you so chose. Companies offered three shifts a day in every plant in America and you were likely to stay at one job for your entire life. You would enjoy paid holidays, full health insurance benefit plans, and after a stable career you would enjoy a send-off party and a 30-year pin or watch personalized and engraved with a genuine “ Thank you for your loyal service”. And finally you could count on retiring comfortably on a guaranteed pension to enjoy the fruits of your labour throughout your twilight years. Yes all you young folks out there. There was a time in this country when you knew there was a job waiting for you, either following in the footsteps of your parents, or better yet pursuing your dreams and aspirations to be anything you want to be as this was the American dream.
I will restore the American dream.
When someone is hired for a job the usual process includes an application, a review of the resume and qualifications, an interview and a reference check. Most companies hire the person most qualified for the position and there are many companies that may take a chance on a younger, less qualified but more energetic, charismatic and driven prospect. These less experienced applicants can prove to be very valuable over time as they are developed, moulded and groomed by the department heads, crew chiefs or site foremen. In these situations, seniority is acquired through time and proven results. Very stable companies are usually the ones who’ll take a chance on this philosophy. The leaders of these firms have impressive credentials and still hold the decision-making rolls, leading the daily operations.
The office of the President of the United States of America is not one of those companies.
The office of the President of the United States of America does not have impressive leaders guiding you through your daily routine until you can be left unattended for short periods of time on your own. The office of the President of the United States of America is not one of those companies. One of those companies would not turn over full control of the firm and all of its operating entities to a second year apprentice who has only attended staff meetings but never sat in the big chair just because they show potential and charisma.
I wander if Warren Buffet would turn over full control of his entire empire to Senator Obama. Would Mr. Buffet trust his own future in the hands of an inexperienced, untested Senator Obama. Would Warren Buffet put the future of the company and the future of all of the families and shareholders depending on that organisation in the hands of Senator Obama? I wander, as Mr Buffet is the poster boy for the American dream.
Listen, folks Barack Obama is an amazing man. His is very talented, very charming, young, enthusiastic and ready to fire things up. But my fellow Americans we are already burning out of control and what we need is to douse the flames, remove the fuel and begin to rebuild. What we don’t need is to change the direction of the wind so the harm and destruction just blows in a different direction. Hopefully not yours!
I have to point out for the good of the country that Hillary Clinton was just as popular to the other half of the Democratic base and likely many republicans as well as undecided voters but Senator Obama ignored the voices of those who did not support him when it came time to choose his second in command. I am sure that there would be no need for this speech today if Hillary was on the ticket as she was desired as much as Senator Obama. I also know that in these trying times we need experience, and someone who hears the voice of all Americans not just the voices of a particular parties wishes. This election will be just as close as the Obama/Clinton Primary. If Senator Obama wins will he shun my supporters and me as he has Hillary Clinton and her loyal followers?
I know that I hear the voices of all Americans and have proven over and over again that I have solid relationships with members of both parties. I will be able to return this great nation the land of opportunity and prosperity it was once known and envied for. I will listen to all of you, take charge and lead this country back to prosperity. My job description will not read “Winner of the race to the White House” but race the White House back to a “Winner”
Thank you. The future of our great nation and the future of the free world is now in your hands. Regardless of who is declared the winner, please vote. Have your voice heard, and may the future be kind to all of you. God Bless and good night.

I so admire John McCain for his service to our country. He is a hero in my opinion. My concern is the person he chose as his VP. I have to say Sara Palin has done nothing or said anything to impress me. She is living in a glorious fantasy world due to being chosen as the potential VP for our United States. In my opinion she is a ‘Grand Stander’ who is only concerned about herself and her “Say it Ain’t So Joe” funnies! I think she takes nothing seriously as far as service to our country goes. She taints John McCain’s run for the presidency(with all due respect to John). I feel this is the only mistake John McCain has made as a canditate for our new President. I just want to say God Bless John McCain and his family and I wish them the very best of everything. As for Sara..she would do best by heading back to Alaska and do a little more study on what is best to say when in front of the American public. Being able to see Russia from Alaska does not make you a geographical expert. Sorry Sara, I’ve seen NO humbleness from you since you were called to the public by John McCain. Remember….HE will be President..You will be HIS Vice President. You need to remember where your place is..and it’s not in the big chair in the Oval Office.
