Can You Say Anthing About Barry And Not Have It Be Racist?
Surrendie wasn’t even sure he should make an appearace today, since, although his is Barry’s #1 fan, and the guy who lays down the talking points for the Democrat Party, he himself, around lots longer then Barry, could be considered racist. On the flip side, Surrendie would like that, because it would show surrender to ad hominum attacks, rather then substance
Georgia Republican Rep. Lynn Westmoreland used the racially-tinged term “uppity” to describe Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama Thursday.
Westmoreland was discussing vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin’s speech with reporters outside the House chamber and was asked to compare her with Michelle Obama.
“Just from what little I’ve seen of her and Mr. Obama, Sen. Obama, they’re a member of an elitist-class individual that thinks that they’re uppity,” Westmoreland said.
Democrats still think this is the 1950’s and earlier, and just can’t move on. But, everything said about The One with his own presidential seal is racist, ya know!
In August, Rep. Shelley Berkley (D-Nev.) told reporters, “When I hear the word ‘elitist’ linked with Barack Obama, to me, that is a code word for ‘uppity.’ I find it extremely offensive and John McCain should know better.”
Political consultant David Gergen, who has worked in both Republican and Democratic White Houses, said on ABC’s “This Week” that “As a native of the south, I can tell you, when you see this Charlton Heston ad, ‘The One,’ that’s code for, ‘He’s uppity, he ought to stay in his place.’ Everybody gets that who is from a Southern background.”
So, you may no longer speak of Obama’s Arugula love and worry about its price. You may not talk about the way he talks one way to the bitter, gun and Bible clinging small town folks, and then trashes the rubes behind closed doors in San Fran circles. You may not talk about his multiple seals or the way he keeps his chin snootily in the air.
Actually, how about instead of calling Obama an elitist (which, frankly, isn’t that the way all Dems think of themselves, as better then everyone else because they are a Dem?) which just call him snooty? Nothing racist in that, is there?

Well, sounds like quite an uproar over what Westmoreland said. Frankly, if you ask me, those complaining are just being rather — wait for it — UPPITY!
Seriously, I could understand complaints if the N-word or some other slur had been used instead, but “uppity?” That’s a “racially-tinged term?” Really? Y’know, I’ve used that word before and have heard others — whether face-to-face or in some media form — use it, too. I’ve never heard any complaints about it, until now. I’m not saying it’s never happened before, but this seems like grasping at straws to me.

This really is not new. The left has been trying for decades to control the language of our nation. This is not just a joke. The left learned a lesson from Orwell’s “1984″, where the English dictionary in Oceana actually decreased in word number each year. The idea was, at some point, people could no longer be able to express themselves and would be completely controlled by the government. This is where the term “politically correct” comes from. “Uppity” is only a word meaning “excitable” or “pretentious”. The left wants to control such words and only have them applied to the right. So, here you go, pal. Obama is “Uppity”. So, take me to the Supreme Court (until you can find a way to pack it).

Can you say anything about Palin and not have it be sexist? Stop hiding behind code words and speak from your racist heart. It’s ok Obama understands.
