Sarah Palin is John McCain’s Vice Presidential Pick!
There’s a ton of speculation today that Sarah Palin has been picked as McCain’s running mate. Read about it below and see photos and a video of Palin below.

Official Portrait
We will know who John McCain has picked as his running mate around noon today. But the speculation has been heavy that it is Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin. This would be a bold choice, but then McCain is a bold man.
The reason for the speculation is that Palin has been on McCain’s short list all along. A private plane was dispatched to Alaska last night. It left Anchorage, Alaska and landed in Dayton, Ohio. A woman was seen disembarking the plane with two men, one a teenage boy. As everyone know, Palin has a teenage son.
We also know that other probably VEEP picks have been eliminated. Most notably, both Tim Pawlenty, Mitt Romney and Joe Lieberman all of whom have been alternatively speculated to be the vice presidential picks over the last few days.
Sarah Palin is definitely not a Washington insider, she has a 90% approval rating in her home state of Alaska, she ran on cleaning up corruption. She has solid conservative credentials, has executive experience as the Governor of Alaska. She has five children, her youngest just born five months ago. She is a strong supporter of our Troops.
We’ll find out who will be our next Vice President shortly. Frankly, I’m really excited at the possibility of it being Sarah Palin!

I am saddened by the choice of any other than Mitt Romney as a VP. I think Maccain has missed? the obvious opportunity of picking a top level successful buisness oriented VP. It is as if Macain is tripping up his own campain.
To win this election Macain needs to:
1/ Set an immediately in the future timeline for the withdrawl of our troops from Iraq.
2/ Establish a domestic policy that will support a recovery of our economy. That is either by appointments to postions or fiscal policy.
3/ An energy policy that leads our country away from the direct dependents we now have on imported oil.
I think Obama has cut his own chances of winning with his ideas of increasing capitol gains taxes. i would really have enjoyed seeing maccain jump allover this. this is a one shot campain, Maccain needed to show leadership in buisness Mr. Mitt Romney would have filled a huge void in the Maccain platform.
Good Luck with liberalism !!!

the republicans are really hiprocritical, they promise but they do not deliver, why should they? they are so immune to the real issues, it apathy at its strongest. I certainly do not want 4 more years of rep crap like bush and sorry to say but most of Mccain sounds like Bush crap. Women who vote for Palin just cause she is a woman is not smart at all. Don’t you get it! that is Mccain’s strategy, he wants all of Hillaries voters, …. please be smart women, it is the devil disguised a lame sheep so you can get all wrap up and vote for the same hell we have been in the last eight years. Sorry but we need new blood in the White House. and yes Bill Clinton did balance the USA economy, while Bush spent lots of money for WAR, and gave us a mockery of what tax checks, and we gladly took it, how quickly we forget how the devils works. Not everything that shines is gold it could be gold electro-plate that will eventually fall off. Beware DO THE right THING AMERICA! get all the crooks out of the White House.

On 1, such a position is stupid in the extreme. All the insurgents and other terrorists need do is wait out the withdrawal date and strike again. This sort of thing precisely is why we lost in Vietnam. We need absolutely to destroy the terrorists!
They are beginning to cower and use children and disabled women in their fights and suicide bombings. That is a sure sign of losing a battle in the Middle East and McCain knows it. We need only hold on just a bit longer than the terrorists can and absolutely hunt them down and annihilate them to the gates of hell if necessary. Americans must keep their stomach and their resolve or we will lose this war in ways most Americans cannot fathom.
On 2, McCain has a domestic policy that will work if properly applied and if he indeed has Congress working with him instead of against him. A lot of the fault with the economy lies with rising fuel costs and unscrupulous lending practices. I doubt it would happen but I also would like to see legislation put in place that penalizes these types of lenders and others like them by mandatory reductions in interest rates, changing of ARMs of certain high amounts to fixed loans, and restriction of their ability to foreclose in times of real need by those on the verge of losing their homes and rights to reorganization of such debts to make them more affordable to those Americans who are now having difficulties and are making a genuine effort to keep their homes. Nothing less than drastic measures will need to be taken in order to prevent economic collapse.
But Obama wants to go after small businesses that make more than $250,000.00 a year and increase their tax burdens, increase payroll taxes, and capital gains taxes. This is a ridiculous strategy. McCain knows this; Obama doesn’t. By increasing taxation in this manner, it makes less available for reinvestment in the economy and sends more jobs overseas. It causes reductions in the workforce. We do not need more of this. We need to increase the workforce, retain said jobs and help the American people afford to keep their homes and spend money into the economy. Hillary-care or any other heathcare reforms like these are not the way to go, either. America was founded upon free-enterprise not Socialism or Socialistic ideas that only have tended to weaken those nations which have adopted such views.
On 3, McCain has an energy policy that includes the increase of oil production in the United States to offset cutting back on OPEC oil. It is time to tell OPEC to kiss our collective American arses and that we will take their manipulation no more unless they cut their prices immediately. By increasing our own oil production while shoring up our energy needs with alternative energy sources, we can indeed lower the cost of oil and gasoline. Obama and his crew rather would see us as not increasing and using our own oil as opposed to foreign imports.
We have vast stores of oil and natural gas in Alaska and offshore. Unless we begin using these sources, we have no bargaining chip with which to decrease our dependence upon foreign oil and to undermine the efforts of the manipulative OPEC group which threatens to damage our economy further with their outrageous price-gouging everytime a nation feels a little wind or hears a gunshot across the border! McCain understands this; Obama is out of touch with reality, with little to no clue concerning culture and thought in the Middle East.
Just my few cents for the day…

If McCain-Palin get in this will confirm the rest of the world’s ridicule of American politics. It would be another 8 years of ignorance!
