Obama Blames 9/11 On Lack Of Empathy

But, no, it couldn’t have anything to do with the psychopathy of the “Religion of Peace,” of course. Via Stop The ACLU, the New Yorker article that accompanied the wild cover, we get

We must also engage, however, in the more difficult task of understanding the sources of such madness. The essence of this tragedy, it seems to me, derives from a fundamental absence of empathy on the part of the attackers: an inability to imagine, or connect with, the humanity and suffering of others. Such a failure of empathy, such numbness to the pain of a child or the desperation of a parent, is not innate; nor, history tells us, is it unique to a particular culture, religion, or ethnicity. It may find expression in a particular brand of violence, and may be channeled by particular demagogues or fanatics. Most often, though, it grows out of a climate of poverty and ignorance, helplessness and despair.

We will have to make sure, despite our rage, that any U.S. military action takes into account the lives of innocent civilians abroad. We will have to be unwavering in opposing bigotry or discrimination directed against neighbors and friends of Middle Eastern descent. Finally, we will have to devote far more attention to the monumental task of raising the hopes and prospects of embittered children across the globe—children not just in the Middle East, but also in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe and within our own shores.

See, they are just misunderstood, and a few well place social workers could have shifted the paradigm of their pathetic lives. Of course, Obama doesn’t quite explain how so many of the hijackers came from middle and upper middle class families, and had good educations. That speech was given on 9/19/01.

He seems to be more worried about the USA offending murderous Islamist scumbags then kicking the shit out of the group that attack the USA and killed 3,000 of our friends and neighbors.

Ace of Spades

I guess my thought that the attacks were carried by evil thugs in furtherance of a murderous ideology would be viewed as insufficiently nuanced by Obama.

Of course, Obama’s tune has changed very little to this day.

Some will remember how humiliating it was to have the useless liberal rag Jimmy Carter in the White House when Iran invaded our embassy. The sniveling socialist post turtle Obama impersonating a President when the next 9/11 is inflicted will be a thousand times worse.

Can’t argue with that.

The problem with Obama is that he thinks he’s smart enough to understand why something can go wrong like 9/11. Trying to understand why those fanatics attacked us is such a backward looking strategy that isn’t useful in making future decisions.

History doesn’t repeat itself, it rhymes with itself.

I mean look at our history, when England used to have a propped up regime in North-America we fought back, our revolutionaries overthrew their system to create the United States of America, a government that reflects our values. Live Free or Die! That is a motto that we in America do live and die by.

Look too at Iran’s history. We had a propped up regime in Iran, backing the Shah. The revolutionaries overthrew that government and vanquished our embassy taking American hostages that were held for 444 days and they created a democracy that reflects their values.

The fact is that no country, whether its the U.S. or Iran, no country and no true patriot of a country will ever allow another to attempt any form of repression, so long as the meaning behind Live Free or Die has a basis in our hearts.

Since the topic of the “Useless libaral rag” of a president that we had when Iranian revolutionaries invaded our Embassy was brought up, I thought I’d post some paragraphs on what occurred in Iraq during those volatile times.

Saddam Hussein in the past was seen by U.S. intelligence services as a bulwark of anti-communism in the 1960s and 1970s. His first contacts with U.S. officials date back to 1959, when he was part of a CIA-authorized six-man squad tasked with ousting then Iraqi Prime Minister Abdul Karim Qassim.

The provision of chemical precursors from United States companies to Iraq was enabled by a Ronald Reagan administration policy that removed Iraq from the State Department’s list State Sponsors of Terrorism. Leaked portions of Iraq’s “Full, Final and Complete” disclosure of the sources for its weapons programs shows that thiodiglycol, a substance needed to manufacture mustard gas, was among the chemical precursors provided to Iraq from US companies such as Alcolac International and Phillips. Both companies have since undergone reorganization and Phillips, once a subsidiary of Phillips Petroleum and now part of ConocoPhillips, an American oil and energy company while Alcolac International has since dissolved and reformed as Alcolac Inc.[14]
