"Use our own oil" Do you want to get the cost of a barrel of oil down? Open the areas of the US where we know huge oil fields are (including ANWAR) and start drilling. At the same time take a couple of these closed down military bases and start building three or four new refineries (after loosening up the red tape and dawnting government regulations on them) to turn that oil into products for the consumer. That will bring the cost down for our benefit in the short term while we search for cheaper non-oil related energy for the future.

Why is it that our "Conservative" Republican Nominee is looking and sounding like a 'Left of Center' Liberal Senator-for-Life just trying to get votes. I hear him talk about creating a Gigantic government beauracracy to oversee this cap and trade swindle and trying to pass it off as a market deal. Everyone needs to remember that corporations DO NOT PAY TAXES. WE (THE CONSUMER) PAY THEIR TAXES. When you force corporations to pay what amounts to a huge tax as a cost of doing business it will get passed on.

So, why is it exactly that they are not only not noticed, but the hub of nearly every scientific, political, ideological, creative or cultural movement in the world?
