Wait, Obama HAS Heard Controversial Wright Speeches?
Interesting. Just yesterday, Barack “NMN” Obama said “The American people were tired of spin and PR, they wanted straight talk and honesty from their elected officials.” Back on 3/14/08, CNN has Obama saying
And, even though he has been a member of Trinity United for the past 20 years, Obama said he had never witnessed Wright making such statements.
“Had I heard those statements in the church, I would have told Reverend Wright that I profoundly disagree with them,” Obama said, adding, “What I have been hearing and had been hearing in church was talk about Jesus and talk about faith and values and serving the poor.”
And today on Fox News
Obama, in an interview broadcast on “Fox News Sunday,” said he’s been on hand for worship services that included “provocative” messages delivered by Wright that have touched on race and issues plaguing the black community.
OK, so he has heard some “provocative” messages. I guess we are getting a little closer to the actual truth.
As a sidebar
Obama expressed regret that the man who married him and his wife Michelle, and the church he’s called home for more than 20 years, have been the subject of close press scrutiny.
“That church family that’s been built there does outstanding work, has been, I think, applauded for it’s outreach to the poor — he (Wright) built that ministry and I think that people need to take a look at the whole church and the whole man in making these assessments.”
So what? Hitler loved his dogs. Mussolini was a big environmentalist when it came to trees. Pol Pot was supposed to have been a very loving, caring, nice young boy. Bull Conner was supposed to be a loving husband. Tookie Williams wrote childrens books. Vlad Tepes loved impaling people. OK, last one is not the best example. And several speeches of hate do not make a person all bad. But, more and more speeches and examples of hate seem to be showing up, and the good things he has done do not exuse the hate, nor do they excuse Obama attending this church of hate for 20 years.

At best, Wright is a stranger to the truth. Just as it is troubling that conservatism has become a Satanic cult bent on practicing ritual human sacrifice and dismemberment in Iraq for the next 100 years, so too is it disturbing that a cult on the left thinks they can curse America and lie about it or that we are to supposed to admire them for the way they curse us. Well in that case, dm U too! And in the words of FUtus, the sitting VP, fu as well.
